Vacation Photos
Where I live in West Michigan, it is calm and quiet 9 months out of the year. During those months, we’re happy to see the sun shining, along with the occasional car driving down the road. The other 3 months though, that’s when summer hits Oceana County and everything shifts into fast speed. Silver Lake Sand Dunes is an amazing place to take a family on vacation! There are beaches and go-carts, a lighthouse to climb and trails to hike, boating and ice cream, camping and mini golfing, dune rides and more! Scenic Beaches
Whether you’re renting a cottage on Lake Michigan, or we meet up at one of the local beaches, the natural beauty surrounding Silver Lake is stunning. The sand dunes and beaches will give you picturesque family photos that will be truly unique. Many of our beaches are filled with dune grass, rolling sand hills, curving shorelines, and crashing waves. A few of our beaches even have lighthouses! These panoramic shorelines will give us so much variety in your photo gallery!
Memories Captured
The beach is a popular location for photos, especially if you have a large extended family at your photo session. But if your family is smaller, consider some of the fun memories you’re making together as locations for our session. Walking on the sand dunes, getting ice cream together, or at your campsite with your camper and campfire would be fun locations to capture your memorable experiences, preserving them for years to come.

Along with all the usual things to buy at the local shops, having your family photos of your experience at Silver Lake will be a treasured souvenir, reminding each member of your family of the delightful time you had here together. So much planning goes into the vacation, and then the time itself flies by and it’s over before you know it. Extended Family Moments
Mark those special occasions of a birthday, anniversary, or big vacation together. Whatever you’re celebrating together, each family member will treasure the photos with grandma and grandpa, the cousins, the aunts and uncles. These images become gifts in themselves, helping us remember milestones, and more importantly, helping us remember one another.
Extended Family
These sessions last an hour+ and include a variety of big group gatherings as well as individual family groupings. Getting the grandparents and the grandchildren together in a photo is on my list, as well as the grandchildren all together. Other photo groupings, such as the siblings with the parents, couples together, all of the girls, all of the guys are all options too! When you schedule your session, we’ll discuss what groupings work best for your family, we’ll settle on a location, and we’ll work together to make sure each person is ready for their photos.
